CaribbeanCutie & Fashion Stargate, two Virgin Islands Fashion Brands have launched an initiative called Models Closet Thrift Pop Up Sale. This event was created to help local models, fashionistas, and other fashion brands to come together monthly to sell their new and gently used apparels, and other locally made products such as arts & crafts, candles, beauty and wellness products to the public. Thrifting refers to the practice of buying affordable and unique secondhand items for affordable prices. Thrifting also promotes the reuse and recycling of goods that allows individuals to find treasures that reflect their personal styles. FashionStargate & CaribbeanCutie is also trying to publicly educate the community about thrifting as it can be rewarding as it allows people to recycle, get unique products at discounted prices, and pay less for fashion items
